(Music)
Fahmida: Welcome to SAL FM
Naieema. Fahmida, Atiya: where you stop and listen!
Fahmida: Today we have got a celebrity, with a single that hit number Billboard Chart, 3 million albums sold, 1 billion YouTube views and 15 million fans on Twitter! Yes, you’re right it is the one and only Angel! Keep listening to find out more about this beautiful singer. Now I’ll pass on to Atiya to talk about the iPhone 5s, which has gone viral in the East End.
Atiya: Hello, yes it’s absolutely mad! The Apple store in Westfield Stratford City has a line outside the store. Even little 12 year olds are in line with their parents, is this right? I’ve just recently spoken to one of those girls and they responded they were in line till 2 am on a school night! What’s the catch with this phone?
Fahmida: Well this is awkward! 12 year old with an iPhone, I’m still using the Nokia phone, which has the best game ever, SNAKE! Hahahha sorry about that anyway hears more from Naieema with exciting news.
Naieema: I’m sure everyone is dying to know about the exciting news, so let me just carry on with it! I am outside right now, at this very moment, interviewing , ANGEL outside Central school!
Fahmida: You’d be stupid to miss that, guys! Keep listening cos were not going anywhere for now here’s the new single from ANGEL!

P2 - Vox Pop Rough Cut
Listen to this episode
Reflecting on the quality of my audio, I think it is a good quality as you can hear what people are saying clearly and the volume is accurate. (not too loud or too quite). However, I will need to edit it as the audio includes one of the participants asking "What do I think about reducing rush hour?" which showed that he was confused on what to answer. Also, I need to ask teenagers as they are my target audience.

P1 - Risk Assessment
Hazard
|
Who might be harmed and how?
|
How I will prevent it from happening
|
Getting hit by a vehicle or bike while crossing over to find people to interview for my Voxpop
|
When trying to find people for my Voxpop, there are busy roads in Bow and when crossing I might get hit by a car and other people may get hurt.
|
Look at the traffic lights so I know when I can cross and keep a look out for cars and make sure it is clear when I cross.
|
When I stop to ask people if they would like to take part they may get annoyed and may give verbal abuse.
|
Most likely to get verbal abuse as I am a Sixth Form student so they may not take me seriously.
|
Politely ask them if they are busy or not and if they say yes, say thank you and carry on looking and try to ask people who do not seem busy.
|
The people may not be serious about taking part and may give answers which are not truthful.
|
When asking the question, they may give rude comments or sarcastic answers.
|
Ask people that seem friendly or look for other people.
|
May get pushed around and might hurt myself.
|
When I stop to ask the public I might get pushed around as it is a busy area.
|
Try to go to areas that are not that busy and an area that looks safe.

R22 - My News Story
My news story is about how Northern Line commuters were encouraged to walk or cycle rather
than waiting for the train for their journey to reduce rush hour. The were being asked to walk or cycle instead of taking trains on a London Underground line to reduce overcrowding and they were being asked to avoid getting on the Northern Line. TFL said that commuters were had to wait for 2 or 3 hours to wait for their train and leaflets and information boards were giving out to passengers at Tooting Bec, Balham, Clapham South, Clapham Common and Clapham North.
During my research on local news, I came across this news story on the BBC website and thought I should use it for my news cast. The story didn't particularly amaze me with shock such as news like 'Miley Cyrus twerking on stage' which went viral in just a couple of hours and was all over the news. However, I decided to use this story as it is unique from the other stories from my group as it is about London transport which is useful for our target audience to know about.
So, in my newcast, I will be creating a Voxpop by asking local people in the area (Bow) about what they think about it. This will be useful as it would enable me to know a variety of other peoples opinions about the issue.
The angle I will be focusing on is what local people think about how Northern Line commuters were encouraging people to walk or cycle and if they agree or disagree with it. I will mainly be asking people who use the train frequently, however, my target audience is 15 - 18+ years old so I will also be asking teenagers what they think about it so I have a variety of different opinions.
